I cant get my head around this one.....if it wasnt for the likes of Aurangzeb, Ahmed Shah Abdali, Massa Ranga, Indira Gandhi etc etc then the true greatness of the SIkhs and the Gurus bachan would not be known as much....its like in this play God has purposely created these beings to commit evil acts in order for Gursikhs to show the world how one should live and die.........

In Gurbani Guru Sahib it is written:

ਆਪੇ ਦੈਤ ਲਾਇ ਦਿਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਆਪੇ ਰਾਖਾ ਸੋਈ ॥
ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਤਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥1॥
He himself gets demons to pursue Sants and then himself becomes their protector. O Vaheguru, those who stay in your santuary, sorrow does not occur in their hearts.

Ultimate it is all the play of Vaheguru. He likes this game in which Bhagats are always underdogs but always win.

Great topic. It seems that the most glorious moments of Sikh history is when Sikhs have been persecuted. Somehow Guru Sahib sends great souls to inspire the Panth at critical moments.

ਹਰਿ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥

ਖੰਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਸਾਜ ਕੈ ਜਿਨ ਸਭ ਸੈਸਾਰੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹੇਸ ਸਾਜਿ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਦਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਰਚਾਇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥
ਸਿੰਧ ਪਰਬਤ ਮੇਦਨੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਥੰਮ੍ਹਾ ਗਗਨਿ ਰਹਾਇਆ ॥
ਸਿਰਜੇ ਦਾਨੋ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਬਾਦੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥
ਤੈ ਹੀ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਸਾਜਿ ਕੈ ਦੈਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਸੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥
ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਬਲੁ ਰਾਮ ਲੈ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਣਾ ਦਹਸਿਰੁ ਘਾਇਆ ॥
ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਬਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਲੈ ਕੰਸੁ ਕੇਸੀ ਪਕੜਿ ਗਿਰਾਇਆ ॥
ਬਡੇ ਬਡੇ ਮੁਨਿ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਈ ਜੁਗ ਤਿਨੀ ਤਨੁ ਤਾਇਆ ॥

I wonder if the 'demons' still get judged the same as everyone else? Because if god has made them act the way they have then is it their fault?
