What does the following pangti mean

ਕੇਤੀਆ ਕਰਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਮੇਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਧੂ ਉਪਦੇਸ ॥

what does ਧੂ mean

Is this pangti referring to the temporary "heaven" where people who did good spend their time and return after the good karma is used up?

ਧੂ here means Bhagat Dhru. Siri Guru jee is stating that there are numerous Bhagats like Dhru in Gyaan Khand. One can have access to countless Karam Bhoomis (like our Earth) and mountain-dwellings like Meru in Gyaan Khand.

As for permanence of this place, all places other than Karam Khand and Sachkhand are said to be temporary.

Thanks Bhai Sahib

Is it wrong if I say Dhru instead of Dhu when reciting this pangti?

It is not appropriate to add an alphabet like this. So the best thing is to read it as Dhu.

Why is not appropriate to add an alphabet like this? We often add bindi so the word makes sense. But I dont understand why we dont do the same with other words?

It often appears that names often have missing alphabets.

Ex. Dhru is written as Dhru
Kaa(H)n ( krishna) is written as Kaan
and Krishna is written as Kisan

but then sometimes names do have these alphabets

for example in the the following Brahma and Rudra ( shiva) have this alphabet.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਰੁਦ੍ਰੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ

All schools of thought pertaining to Gurbani pronunciation, that I know of, don't advocate adding an alphabet. Only Bindi or Tipee is added where appropriate. Rest Guru Sahib knows.

The bindi cannot be equated to adding a letter. Letters such as sassa, jajja have dual sounds.

adding a whole new letter is manmat a bindi here and there is somewhat acceptable but changing dhoo to dhroo is not good. just because in that context it refers to bhagat dhroo jee it doesnt mean in deeper meanings it can mean something else.
such is the state of sikhi that we question everything. this cant be bani that cant be bani i dont get this rehraas is too long cut this cut that im not bashing u bhai sukhdeep singh this is just general

I was wondering is it wrong to add a halant in Gurbani?

For example can we say Teerath N(h)ava instead of Teerath Nava.
