Virginia Gurdwara violates Amrit Sanchar Maryada

Virginia – In a mockery of the historic Amrit sanchar more than three centuries ago, Gurdwara Sikh Sangat of Virginia has prohibited the maryada by preparing the pahul rejecting the banis from Sri Dasam Granth Sahib.

The blasphemous event took place on 15th April at Gurdwara Sikh Sangat of Virginia by Kuldeep Singh , who is a follower of the pseudo scholar Prof. Darshan Singh.

he so called Amrit Sanchar cermony was carried out with first 13 Angs of Guru Granth Sahib ji being read, instead of the required five banis that also include Jaap Sahib, Tve Prasaad Svaye, and Chaupai Sahib. Furthermore, the Sikh code of conduct and maryada was totally disregarded and new guidelines were delivered:

1. Nitnem from first 13 Angs of Guru Granth Sahib ji including Jap, Sodar, So purakh and Sohila

2. Ardaas to be started with “Pritham Akal purakh simar ke” and concluded with “Tu samrath agam agochar jeo pind teri raas..”

3. Amrit Sanchar Khande dee pahul to be prepared with Banis of Jap, Sodar, So purakh, Sohila and Anand Sahib.

It's a very unfortunate development. They have now officially separated themselves from Khalsa Panth by changing the initiation ceremony. There is no basis for their new maryada. It's a man-made maryada that will never be accepted in Panth. So much so, that even in the Missionary circles, it will not be accepted as they have many divisions.

It's a futile attempt to cause division in Panth because as a result of this event, all Panthik organizations will actually come closer to each other to oppose and condemn it.

This means according to Gyani Kuldeep Singh (and his team) of Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Sangat of Virginia that the Sikhs who have taken Amrit between year 1699 to 15th Apr. 2016 are not Amritdhari at all then.

By this he is trying to prove that real Amritdhari Sikhs are only created from 15th April 2016 onwards. Before that all are Patits because they have taken wrong Amrit. This is what he wants to convey. Otherwise what else conclusion can be derived.

He should be confronted on this point and he should answer these questions.

Q1. Are all Amritdhari Patits who took Amrit before 15 Apr 2016 ?
Q2. Before 15 Apr 2016 from where did he took Amrit that was prepared by reading 13 Angs ?
Q3. This means he himself was Patit till 15 Apr 2016 because he had taken wrong Amrit ?
Q4. Being Patit then who authorized him to do seva in Panj ? He is tankhahiya on this ground itself.
Q5. Till 15 Apr 2016 all have taken wrong Amrit and all are tankhaiya. Then who are those Non-Tankhaiya Panj reading 13 Angs and creating Amrit ? On what ground they are Non-Tankhaiya and are authorized to create Amrit ?

Sikh Sangat who are follower of fools like Gyani Kuldeep Singh (and his team) of Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Sangat of Virginia can't even ask these 5 basic questions ?
