Gursikhs who wear Khanda on Dastar do so to please Siri Guru Dasmesh Pita jee. Wearing Blue Baana, adorning Dastar with Khanda and Chakkars, keeping Shasters like full size Kirpaan etc. are pleasing to Guru Sahib and for this reason alone they wear it. Some people think that Gurmukhs dressed in the aforementioned way are showing off but this is not the intention of Gursikhs. They do so to please Guru Sahib and they feel that when they are dressed like Puratan Gursikhs, divine Chardi Kala from Guru Sahib flows towards them and it aids in Naam Abhyaas.
