Few people have asked me why we say Jaikara as "Jo Gaj Ke Bulaave So Nihaal, Sat Sri Akal" instead of standard "Bole So Nihaal, Sat Sri Akal". I haven't done much research on this but according to my limited understanding the Jaikara is just "Sat Sri Akal", the lines we add in front are just additional lines which are added in various different ways.

Does sangat here have any views on this?

I believe the Jaikaraa was introduced by Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Ji Maharaaj when they went to Mecca. They shouted the Jaikaraa "Gur Bar Akaal. Sat Sri Akaal." and all became quite and peaceful.
