Question a Gori Bibi asked who Wishes to Take Amrit but not wear the dastaar

Vaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Vaheguroo Jee Ki Fateh

In our Sangat there is a Gori Bibi who is really Impressed by Sikhi and now wishes to take Amrit.
She has fallen in love with God and loves Sikhi but she does not want to wear the Dastaar.

She says what matters most is the love inside you have for your Guru and God.
She is also a bit confused because she sees some Amritdhari Bibi´s wear the Dastaar and some who don´t
So she probably thinks:´If they can take Amrit without wearing the Dastaar, why can´t I take amrit then without the dastaar?´

I personally think she is a bit scared to wear the Dastaar as a Gori because she will then really stand out of the Crowd and her family and friends may not to really be positive about it.
(I could be wrong of course)

How should Daas approach this situation?
(I don´t want to push the Dastaar in her face, but make her realise in a way with love and humilty that it is absolutely essential for a Sikh Women to wear this Crown.)

Any advice would be really helpful

Thanks in advance.

It has been a while I was thinking to write an article on this. But as per Guru Sahib's wish there could not be better time than this.

Keski is Kakaar but it is hard to explain this to the Buddhijeevis of today.

So here are few points :

1. Can Sikh give a naked head to his/her Guru ?

Khalsa needs to be Tyar-Bar-Tyar. Ofcourse we are not going to war everyday today. But we don't know what will happen next moment. So imagine will it be a good idea for an Amritdhari Sikh Bibi to give her head without Dastaar ?

2. Dastaar is a Crown and it is a Gift.

Other than Sikhi, where in this world you will find a Guru who has given HIS own Swaroop to HIS Sikhs.

ਐਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਲੋੜਿ ਲਹੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥

HE has given HIS Crown to HIS Sikhs. Will it be a good idea for a Sikh Bibi to deny that gifted Crown ?

3. Equality

Sikhi is all about Equality because we all are Jyot.

ਮਨ ਤੂੰ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਹੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂਲੁ ਪਛਾਣੁ ॥

From outside we may apprear as Male and Female. But actually we all are Jyot. For a moment just think, will it be a good idea that in Sachkhand some Jyot is sitting at Lotus feet of Akal Purakh wearing Dastaar and some with naked head ? Is it not insulting Guru Maharaaj ?

4. Kesh is Sikh's Ang (body part) and needs to be covered.

Keshs are Sikh's Supreme Ang. It is a body part of Sikh. Now think for a moment do we keep are private parts covered or naked ?

Is it a good idea to go out in public with naked body parts ?

5. Is Sikh's Kanga safe without Dastaar ?

There are so many daily chores where Sikh run, walk, bend down etc ... Without Dastaar is there not a possiblity that Kanga, which is our Kakaar, getting detached from our body ?

Imagine while going to sleep, it is 100% sure that Kanga will detached from body if Dastaar is not worn.

There is growing trend to attach Kanga to Gatra of Kripan. Is this what Kanga is meant to be ? So, tomorrow are we going to attach a small Kachera also to Gatra ?

Kakaar should be worn where they are meant to be.

6. Where do Sikhs keep Kripaan while Ishnaan (bathing) ?

If a Sikh is not wearing Dastaar then it is a 100% fact that Sikh is taking out Kripaan while doing Ishnaan.

We already know that we are not suppose do detach our Kakaars.

7. Sewa in Panj

If a Amritdhari Sikh Bibi wishes to do sewa in Panj Pyare then will Guru Sahib accept her sewa if she does not wear Dastaar. By not wearing Dastaar she is loosing the opportunity to do this great sewa.

We cannot imagine a Sikh Bibi doing sewa in Amrit Sanchaar without wearing Dastaar.

8. Carrying Guru Maharaaj's Swaroop

Can we imagine Amritdhari Sikh Bibi to carry Guru Maharaaj's Swaroop on her head without Dastaar.

Same is the instance while carrying Degh.

Bhul Chuk Maaf.
