Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee has written a great book on the subject of use of word "Sant" in Gurbani. In the above Pankiti even though the word ਸੰਤੀ is Bahu Vachan Naav in Karta Kaarak form i.e. is a plural noun, still it is for Guru Sahib. The Pankiti is as follows:
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਮੋਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
ਸੰਤੀ ਮੰਤੁ ਦੀਓ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥Humble Translation: ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਧੀਰਜ ਭਾਵ ਸਬਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ (ਗੁਰਾਂ) ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਮੰਤਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਮਾਇਆ।In Punjabi language, when referring to elders and respectable personalities, we use plural reference for them and in Gurbani while singular reference is used for Vaheguru and Guru Sahib for the most part but in some places, they are also referred to as plural.
In the second Pankiti it becomes clear that the word ਸੰਤੀ is being referred to Guru Sahib as the words "ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ" too are being used in the same Pankiti.
