Any Android Experts Here? Really Need Your Help!

Posted by Not Worthy
Vaheguroo Jee,

I can't read Gurmukhi on my phone like iPhone users can. I'm currently using a HTC One X. My friend has a Samsung S3 (or something like that) and he can read Gurmukh just fine. Does anyone know how to get Gurmukhi to show??

Really appriciate the help!

The one x doesn't have Unicode so you can't read Unicode text on it. You have to root your phone and then put Unicode on it, but this will void your warranty .

Fullyworthy Ji, if you are unable to read punjabi font on various websites on your default HTC browser, then i suggest you to install Opera Mini on your phone via Play Store.
Once installed, go to the address bar and type config:// (without any spaces),
A page will appear named Power User Settings, go to the end of the page and there will be last option saying use bitmap fonts for complex scripts, turn this yes and the press save.

This way you'l be able to see any fonts (Punjabi-Hindi) appearing on various websites including this one too.
Hope it helps.
