The english version is below , some comments and questions remain in italics, if anyone can answer wouldbe greatly appreciated:

IK oankar Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
Subject: Historic meeting of the Panth’s main Jathebandis, Damdami Taksaal and Akhand Kirtani Jatha UK, for the Chardikala of the Panth and Panthic unity
Date: 5th January 2013, Time: 8pm
Place: Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Derby (UK)
Today there was a historic gathering of the Head of Damdami Taksaal, Singh Sahib Giani Ram Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, Bhai Surjit Singh, Bhai Tajinder Singh and Bhai Rajandeep Singh with Akhand Kirtani Jatha’s Deputy-Jathedaar Bhai Malkit Singh, General Secretary Bhai Rajinder Singh, Jatha Spokesman Bhai Joginder Singh and Bhai Joga Singh at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Derby (UK).
In this meeting Gursikhs discussed Panthic unity and the Chardikala of the Panth. It was discussed that today Sikhi was under attack in Panjab through Gurudoms, apostasy, drugs, crime, and the disrespect of daughters and sisters (rape) becoming a common thing. With political backing, Radha Soamis, Nirankaris, Namdharis, Ashutosh, Bhaniara wala, and the likes of Gurmit Ram Rahim and other Gurudom cults were expanding in Panjab on a large scale.
To put a stop to these Gurudoms, drugs, and other social evils the whole Panth needs to unite. For this Gursikhs from all Sikh organisations are needed to work together to do Parchaar on a large scale.

If all are needed together to solve the issue , Taksaal and AKJ have aligned here - then what and how are they going to deal with those issues .i.e what strategic objectives are going to be met-- and whenand how will they be measured as a feedback mechanism??

Keeping in mind these circumstances, both Panthic organisations share agreement on the following:
1) Despite there being differences in Maryada and on Panthic issues (on which there is yet no Panthic consensus) in many of the organisations of the Panth, these issues should not be used to create divisions in the Panth that would cause the whole Sikh nation harm. Gursikhs should show love for one another.
2) Damdami Taksal, Akhand Kirtani Jatha, Sikh Missionary, Nihung Singh groups and other Sikh organisations that preach Sikhi under the umbrella of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, join the nation to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Sri Akal Takht Sahib, are all strongly requested that they respect the Panth approved Rehat Maryada from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
3) Full respect should be shown to the Gurmukhs of the past from all organisations that serve the Panth and the Sikh leaders that have made a great contribution to the service of the Panth; and no slanderous language should be used against them.
4) On top of their Nitnem (of 5 Banian), a Gursikh can read more Bani according to their own choice. This should not be made into an issue.
5) The youngsters from across the world are requested that we do not use Panthic issues to oppose one another on the Internet, Facebook or any other media.
Instead for the Chardikala of the Panth we should help one another and serve the nation.

No issues or questions on points 1-5

6) Youngsters from all Jathebandis should remain vigilant of troublemakers, who dressed as Sikhs, use disrespectful language, like “Gur Nindak” (Slander of the Guru), “Naastik” (atheist), “Bemukh” (one who turned away from the Guru), “Masand”, “Gadaar” (traitors) etc against Gursikhs.

What are the strategic challenges and goals for the youngsters from both jathebandis initially apart from remaining vigilant??

In the end, we all agree that for the Chardikala of the nation, when the whole Panth under the guidance of Sri Akal Takht comes to an agreed decision in accordance to Gurmat on these issues (Mool Mantar, Raagmala, Dasam Granth etc), we will all respect that.

Overall an excellent decision - however majority see this as the old thing - nothing new. I saw the debate on sangat t.v., there was mention of being more vigilant on the type of katha vacheks that speak on stages of all western Gurdwara. Why don;' these two jathebandies now pass this as a gurmata that parcharks such as dhunda will not be allowed to speak on Gurughars in the western hemispehere as the only thing they have done is damage.

It's about time we had our own panj representatives of the Akal Takht in the western countries to control and ensure transparency of rehat marayda , monitoring of marayda in Guru Ghars - etc . The two jathebandia have HUGE influence and they can make this happen. Typical example is the date of our Gurupurbs to start with - can we or will we ever have one date together and celebrate together.

Apologies to chuck these question out so soon as this thread has started but a bit more information of goals and objevtives of the two jathebandia being together i.e strategic goals would help the wider sangat. This would even encourage more people to help out and join the jathebandies and extend on tangible objectives.
