Vahiguroo Ji Ka Khalsa
Vahiguroo ji ki Fateh

A good friend of mine who is a non practising Hindu has a lot of pyar and shardha for Sikhi as his mother is from a Sikh background. Due to some reason he is not able to get a sound sleep and is frequently haunted by nightmares. Some dreams are full of horror while others are incomprehensible.
It was not a great problem until he started to get up alarmingly after having a nightmare and cry. This became very frequent. The subject of most of his dreams, he says, revolves around a young boy of his little brother's age. This problem has made him gloomy and sad all the time.
How can he heal this and what are the reasons for it? Aren't his nightmares seem to tell him something? Sujhaavs from Gurmukhs is urgently required.

Bad dreams come from bad karams, a person never escape bad dreams unless they adopt Sikhi and start doing gurmat karams at this point they will eventually enter sukhopat ( dreamless state). Untill that time comes tell him to read Sakhis about Sri Guru Ji, recite Sri Sukhmani Sahib, Rakhya da Shabad, and Kirtan sohila before going to sleep. Also before going to sleep tell him to do Ardas at the feet of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji , and beg Sri Guru Ji to keep away from bad dreams. Tell him to go to the Gurdwara more often and do sangat of more Gursikhs. Slowly slowly these nightmares will turn into peaceful dreams. Bhai Rama Singh Ji was from a hindu background he use to recite Sri Sukhmani Sahib every day but still was doing things opposed to Gurmat living. One day in his dreams he experienced the wraths of hell but he was saved through the bani of Sri Sukhmani Sahib.

Doing Kirtan Sohila Paath and Rakhiya de Shabad with Shardha before sleeping can help one to getting a good sleep without getting bad dreams. After this if one wishes they can also do Jaap of the mool manter for further relief of bad/negative dreams.
