What to do with unusable Gurbani CDs?

Posted by Manvir Singh
Khalsa Jee,

Daas has many CDs of Keertan and Kathaa that are not usuable any more because they have been either scratched, worn out, had error when making the CD and so the audio CD was made incomplete etc.

What should I do with them?

I once did agan bhet (sanskaar) of some CDs. Firstly, it took a long time and even then the CD never became ashes but just melted into a block and it gave off lots of fume.

Please advise what Daas should do.

Thanks.

Vaheguroo jee.

Bhaji, please be careful..burning plastic releases highly toxic fumes.
Would it be acceptable to wipe the cd by using sandpaper or wire bristles? And then recycling the remains? This is assuming that the cd cannot be read by your computer.
