Bhai Randhir Singh and Sant Isher Singh Rara wale

Did Bhai Randhir Singh ever write about or speak to Sant Isher Singh Rara wale or baba Nand Singh

Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee and Sant Isher Singh jee Rarewale did not meet physically. There is an incident of Bhai Sahib meeting Baba Nand Singh jee once but this Saakhi has been kept in the hearts by Jatha Singhs, Seena-Baseena and not written or expressed openly. This is how it should remain.

There is no doubt that their style and Andaaz of living was different from each other. Bhai Sahib lived like an ordinary householder Gursikh; Baba Nand Singh jee lived like an humble ascetic and Sant Rarewale, though a celibate, lived with full Shaan-Shauqat but as far as we are concerned, we are small insects crawling on the ground and the aforementioned Gursikhs are like birds flying in the sky. They are all senior to us and as thus are respectable to us.

How was the foundation of the Rara Sahib Dera laid down?

Here's two meetings with Bhai Sahib jee and Baba Attar Singh jee

Sakhi 1

Amrit Vela was done at a different house every morning while Pooran Ji was in Toronto. At one particular house, during Sukhmani Sahib and Nitnem, Pooran Ji kept asking the sangat sitting around him who the house belonged to. Finally, after amrit vela, Pooran Ji explained why he kept asking who the house belonged to. He told the sangat that Bhai Randheer Singh Ji and Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji were sitting in the sangat during the Amrit Vela.

Sakhi 2

At another house after Amrit Vela, Pooran Ji told the sangat a story about a particular instance with Sant Baba Attar Singh Jee and Bhai Randheer Singh Jee. I have included the clip at the bottom of the post. In the clip, Pooran Jee is telling the sangat about a time when Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji was doing Amrit vela in a Pind and Bhai Randheer Singh Ji showed up. After the Amrit Vela, the sangat began singing a ‘tharnaa’ “Thooray Vajdheyney Jina Ne Japiyaa, Jina Ne Japiya” which Bhai Randheer Singh Ji objected to. However, Sant Baba Attar Singh Jee replied to Bhai Randheer Singh Jee that the sangat in the village were simple people and from the ‘tharnaa’ they would slowly begin doing Naam Simran. Another individual asked Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji why he was giving Amrit to so many people especially those that were not ‘kesh dharee’. He replied by saying that just like a farmer plants seeds, he knows that some crops will grow and some will not, I am planting seeds within all those who wish to take Amrit. It is up to Guru Sahib Ji whether those seeds will grow and sprout or not. He explained the love that gursikhs had with each other, he said it was common for Bhai Randheer Singh Ji to attend Sant Attar Singh’s Divans, and when he would see Bhai Sahiab he would stop and say “I cannot continue Bhai Randheer Singh ji is here and he will do keertan.
