It's hard to find a Paathi that does correct Paath of this Pankiti.Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee has done a superb commentary on this Pankiti.
ਇਕੁ, ਬਿੰਨਿ ਦੁਗਣ ਜੁ, ਤਉ ਰਹੈ, ਜਾ ਸੁਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ ਮਾਨਵਹਿ ਲਹਿ ॥The Anvai of the first half of this Pankiti is: ਇਕੁ ਤਉ ਰਹੈ (One (Vaheguru) gets established in the heart , ਬਿੰਨਿ ਦੁਗਣ ਜੁ (when one pierces the Dooja Gunn or Bad Gunni.e. Maya and destroyes it).
The above stated spiritual condition is possible only when: ਜਾ ਸੁਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ ਮਾਨਵ ਹਿਲਹਿ (When Maanav (humans) stay engaged in the Sumantr).
The Sihaari at the end of ਸੁਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ gives the meaning of within or in. The Sihaari at the end of ਬਿੰਨਿ gives the meaning of ke i.e. ਬਿੰਨ ਕੇ.
The word ਇਕੁ should not be pronounced together with ਬਿੰਨਿ and it is imperative that a Bishraam is placed after ਇਕੁ. ਇਕੁ goes with ਤਉ ਰਹੈ.
