Dukh (Pain)

What types of dukh are there?
What is the worst kind of dukh?

..I should add according to Gurbani

According to Gurbani there are four manin sufferings.

1ਆਧਿ- suffering of the mind

2) ਬਯਾਧਿ- suffering of the body

3) ਉਪਾਧਿ- suffering from conflict

4) ਵੈਰਾਗ- spiritual suffering, which is the harshest dukh.

All suffering reduces through Naam Jaap. All suffering ceases when we reach the ultimate goal " Darshan"

ਬਿਰਾਜਿਤ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥ ਆਧਿ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਸਭ ਨਾਸੀ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਤੀਨੈ ਤਾਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਮਲਾਰ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ First Mehl:

ਦੁਖੁ ਵੇਛੋੜਾ ਇਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਭੂਖ ॥ The pain of separation - this is the hungry pain I feel.

ਇਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸਕਤਵਾਰ ਜਮਦੂਤ ॥ Another pain is the attack of the Messenger of Death.

ਇਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਲਗੈ ਤਨਿ ਧਾਇ ॥ Another pain is the disease consuming my body.

ਵੈਦ ਨ ਭੋਲੇ ਦਾਰੂ ਲਾਇ ॥੧॥ O foolish doctor, don't give me medicine. ||1||

ਵੈਦ ਨ ਭੋਲੇ ਦਾਰੂ ਲਾਇ ॥ O foolish doctor, don't give me medicine.

ਦਰਦੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਰਹੈ ਸਰੀਰ ॥ The pain persists, and the body continues to suffer.

ਐਸਾ ਦਾਰੂ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਬੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉYour medicine has no effect on me. ||1||Pause||
