this will become total and utter disrespect for Sri Guru Granth Sahib....BTW thats not even a palki.
A palki looks like this

the way that these people have designed there so called palki looks like a basket and people will hold like a basket when they have guru sahib in it.

im just disgusted by this.

why is it so hard for people to follow maryada. The proper way is to Guru Sahibs saroop on top of your head and thats how it is supposed to be done or in a proper palki sahib like the one that they use at Sri harminder sahib.

Let's do it this way. The person who started this recognized the need for proper Satkaar of Guru Sahib to be done. We may not agree with the prototpye, but it seems that they are open to suggestions. After all, what exact arrangements has the Sikh community even attempted to bring Guru Sahib to places with Satkaar that is accessible to the common Sikh. We are not talking about Gurudwaras with special cars/vans to transport Guru Sahib and the Punj Pyare, we are talking people who have Saroops of Guru Sahib at home).

So, please take this opportunity and this forum to present alternatives, with the express intent in mind to be practical and achievable by a Gursikh of middle class earnings. We all would love to have a Harmandir Sahib Palki Sahib to transport Guru Sahib with a Narsingha, flower petal shower and personal police escort, but it cannot always take place.
