Vaar 5, Pauri 16: Sohaagan de roopak vich gursikh

What is the correct translation for this vaar? I initially thought it was talking about Gursikhs in general, but the translations I've seen all make it seem that it talking about Gursikh bibian only... ?


ਪੇਵਕੜੈ ਘਰਿ ਲਾਡੁਲੀ ਮਾਊੂ ਪੀਊ ਖਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ।
ਵਿਚਿ ਭਿਰਾਵਾਂ ਭੈਨੜੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਦਕ ਸਪਰਵਾਰੀ।
ਲਖ ਖਰਚ ਵਿਆਹੀਐ ਗਹਣੇ ਦਾਜੁ ਸਾਜੁ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ।
ਸਾਹੁਰੜੈ ਘਰਿ ਮੰਨੀਐ ਸਣਖਤੀ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਸਧਾਰੀ।
ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਸੇਜੜੀ ਛਤੀਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਸਦਾ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ।
ਲੋਕ ਵੇਦ ਗੁਣੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਚਿ ਅਰਧ ਸਰੀਰੀ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੀ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਨਿਹਚਉ ਨਾਰੀ ॥੧੬॥

This Roopak of ideal housewife is to illustrate the life of a Gursikh and not just a Gursikh woman. Just as a wise woman is loved and praised in both her parent's home and her in-laws home, same way a Gursikh gets glory and praise in this world and the next one. Basically, this Roopak (metaphor) is to illustrate this point.
