According to Gurbani, Naam is everything for a Gursikh. So Naam is Gurmantr, Naam is Mool Mantr, Naam is Beej Mantr, Naam is Gayatri Mantr etc. Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee too has written that Beej Mantr, Mool Mantr and Gurmantr is Naam alone.

Having said that, many Gursikhs do chant the above Chhand from Siri Jaap Sahib, with wonderful spiritual results. Any Shabad of Gurbani can be chanted to bring about mystical results.

Of course Naam is Gurmantr. The rhyme in the above Jaap Sahib Chand, sounds so Mantar like.

There is the Mool Mantr, and the Gur Mantr? Why do we even talk about a Sikh Gyatri Mantr? Is it required; is it of any relevance?

Perhaps these names like Mala Mantr, Gayatri Mantr or Beej Mantr have been given, by some Gursikhs, for such individuals who are from Hindu background and would like to see multitude of mantrs in Sikhs but in Sikhi, there is only one Mantr and that is Naam. Rest whole of Gurbani is also Mantr roop, apart from being instructive.

Humble understanding, 'Waheguru' is Gurmantar, 'Ik oankar.... Gur prasad' is Moolmantr. These are the only mantr in Gurbani/Sikhi?

No, there is only one Mantar, and that is gurmantar, which is the real mool mantar. Gurmantar and the vidhi to jap gurmantar is obtained during amrit sinchar. All of Gurbani is mantar roop, but there is only one gurmantar. But there is nothing wrong with doing abiyaaas of any Shabad (like the following above), however it is NOT REQUIRED to do abiyaas of any of these newly created mantars.

Gyatri Mantar is terminology derived from Hinduism . Hindus have a ceremony called
"Shradhhya Tarpan Sanskar" to honor a deceased relative. In this ceremony, they
get some water and worship it by start reciting Gyatri Mantar. Supposedly their dead
ancestors then drink this water and get peace.

One day sangat asked Guru Sahib what is distinctive qualities what gets from taking AMrit.

Guru Sahib responded
Sau Sakhi

Meaning - there is one mantar ( obtaining Gurmantar- WaaheGuru) , secondly there is Jantar ( method of reciting/bringing letters of WaaheGuru together ),and thirdly there is Tantar ( power to destroy tyranny).

This is the mantar, jantar, and tantar for a Gursikh. I dont know why or when the usage of " Gyatri Mantar" has founds its way in Gurmat terminology.

The above is the link to a sakhi of Bhai Tilaku ji on this website and its written that Bhai Sahib was a great abhiyaasi of Mool Mantar. So, other than Gurmantar, there has to be another mantar called Mool Mantar ... ik oankaar satnam karta purakh nirbhau nirvair.....
