ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕਾਖਾਲਸਾਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫਤਹਿ

Thread will be updated by dass from time to time if Guru Sahib will. As the title suggest, reflections/thought/veechars(anything) on/relating to Gurmat Naam Prema Bhagti Maarag will be updated from time to time, that too if SatGuroo wills.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

" A river only completes its journey when it meets the ocean. In whomsoever's heart the desire, or vairaag arises to meet Vahiguroo, he does not rest until he meets Him. We rest most of the time because there is no genuine and sincere love for God(Vahiguroo) in us. If there is an urge to always sleep then there is no love for Vahiguroo (in us ) . Those who yearn for Him do not tarry day or night; they find True rest upon meeting Him only. As Guru Sahib says, " ਮੋਹਿਰੈਣਿਨਵਿਹਾਵੈਨੀਦਨਆਵੈਬਿਨੁਦੇਖੇਗੁਰਦਰਬਾਰੇਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ " .

Reform

The hardest thing to do in ones life is reforming(thorugh gurmat naam bhagti ) ones own self .(e.g.nailing down the mind, mukti from vikaars, houmei & breaking the bondages of maya on us)

Do I want to reform myself?
Am I reforming myself ?

But why reform ourselves ?

There is only 1 was way dass has seen for one to reform ones self throug Sri GuruBani ji. By continously showering this soul with Gurmat Naam and Gurbani abhiyaas . That too with concentration, attention and prem. Unconditional prem!

Use wonder a lot about keerpa, till dass heard these word from someone who encouraged dass on this path:

" ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਨਹੀ , ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਰ ਬਣਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ "

Easy times tell us how much love we have for HIM, hard times tell us how strong our faith is in HIM.

When the mind is in the state of houmei, no matter how much shower of grace is done on us. It will just not sink in within our hirda.

"Water(keerpa/naam) only/always flows to a lower land(humbleness/meek) because it is ready to receive and contain it."

O Love, hear my cry,
bring me there, where arrows of your love fly,
devoid of your love, my life goes dry,
nothing is in my hands, whatever I may try,
my demerits are endless, which I don't deny,
Seeking you, I endlessly pry,
not giving up, I try,try,try...
O Love , O Love..., O Love....., hear my cry.....
bring me there, where arrows of you love fly.............

Depends on what sort of youth Bhai Sahib was referring to. As far as the Gursikh youth is concerned, they have tremendous respect Gursikhi, Bana, Naam & Baani.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ke Fateh

Veer Jee brillant -

Veer Jaspreet singh jeeo issue with your quote "Gursikh youth " also have real issues even though they may have tremendous respect for naam bani, bhagti naam abhyaas-- fact is we all have issues - none of us are learned enough and never will be - as the learning is too huge for any of us to even start to begin to comprehend. The one who can comprehends becomes a Gungaa as he/she starts to taste the nectar -- don;t u think

As long as there is attachment to material pleasure, there can be no true
Love (sggs 328). Listen all, I tell you the Truth: One who practices
Love attains God (Guru Gobind Singh Jee). One who performs selfless
service, without thought of reward, will attain God (sggs 286).
Without Love, no Devotion is possible ... (sggs 67).
