Parvah means care and Be-Parvah means careless but this word has both positive and negative meaning. Gurmukh is Beparvah in the sense that he has no worldly worries but a Manmukh is Beparvah in the sense that he has no spiritual worries i.e. cares not about his spirituality and does not care what Guru Sahib's Hukam is.

Topic i have been thinking for discussion for long. Very interested to know where i Gurmukh should be VEPRAVAH and where does the thin line of ਬੁਝਦਿਲੀ begins

1) 2 drunk people fighting on road -- Should Gursikh be veparvah ?
2) Someone on road side make fun of Bana -- Should Gursikh be veparvah ?
3) Your neighbour throwing eggs at your door every day - Should Gursikh be veparvah ?
4) You see something wrong happening at sacred places - Should Gursikh be veparvah ?
5) your wife beats you (hahahaha) -- Should Gursikh be veparvah ?

and many more such situations , where i feel ਬੁਝਦਿਲੀ quickly jumps in when VEHPARVAHI goes far. Isnt it ???

Yes & No, If the person is getting beaten to the point of broken bones or serious injury them it maybe right to intervene

2) Someone on road side make fun of Bana -- Should Gursikh be veparvah ?

Yes & No - There was once a Singh who was a Soor veer yooda who fought in the World War 2. We was very courageous and extra-ordinarily strong. He once beat up 5 Hindu Soldiers by himself because they mocked his dastaar ,and was sent to the docks. His service was honoured by him getting a Commonwealth voucher allowing him to come to UK in the late 1940s. I not saying beat them up, most of the time there just ignorant people

3) Your neighbour throwing eggs at your door every day - Should Gursikh be veparvah ?

No

4) You see something wrong happening at sacred places - Should Gursikh be veparvah ?

No. If they bring a tank to gurdwara would you be veparvah?

Doesn't laa-parvah mean careless, and be-parvah mean carefree?

In normal conversation the above is true but in Gurbani "Beparvah" has come in the meanings of careless also:

ਇਕਨਾ ਨੋ ਸਭ ਸੋਝੀ ਆਈ ਇਕਿ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹਾ ॥
(Some have got understanding (of Gurmat) while others wander carelessly).

But mostly in Gurbani, this word has been used in the meanings of carefree.
