No one can love Vaheguru at will. As the matter of fact one can't love anyone at will. One may try to like someone but to love someone is not within one's capability. Love is something that is blessed by Vaheguru Himself.

Ishq/Mohabat/Prem/Pyaar/Love is such an Aatish (fire) that can't be enflamed at will and once it gets lightened up, it can't be extinguished (Ghalib).

If one could love at will, then everyone would have fallen in love with Vaheguru. Only those fortunate ones, on whom Vaheguru does Kirpa, fall in love with Him.

ਰਹਿਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਮੁਝ ਕਉ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਨਾਹਿ ।
Those that follow Rehat are my beloved Sikhs ( pyaarey)
Bhai Desa Singh Ji-

Meaning- Our love for God is reciprocal to the love he has for us.

We get his love ( grace) by obeying his orders. If we dont follow his hukums ( orders) then its rare that such love
will arise in the heart. Its true that God loves all, but he holds those that follow his
Hukum in the highest esteem by God. Such people become the candidates in receiving his
loving grace.

Veer Kulbir Singh Ji just hit the nail on the head...

Emotions of love are very deep and there are levels.... at first we should just try to enjoy the Rang (colouring and bliss) of Naam..... then Maharaj will do kirpa himself...

Our Guru Sahibaan were so engrossed in this love that it made them create new Raags to express this emotion via music, then invent new instruments because those of the time were unable to express that emotion. This does not include the deep love expressed in so many analogues of Gurbani.

Only through Naam can you even begin to understand what love is, and the path of Naam is endless.... hence the love experienced becomes limitless......
