Does Jot in the following pangti mean God? Har Tum Meh Jot Dhari, Har Bin Avar Na Dekho Koi

No jee. "Har" means God in the pangtee. Jot means divine light, difficult to translate into English.

The meaning of the pangtee is "God put his light into you, do not see anyone except God" (because that same light is in everyone)

Why divine light? Is it not simply light? Eyesight?

The reason I wrote divine light, because it is not a normal light like a bulb, torch, or flame, but God's own light. Please have a look at the dictionary definition for further reference:

If we look at the full pangtee:

ਏ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਹੁ ਮੇਰਿਹੋ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਧਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਕੋਈ ||
eae naethrahu maeriho har thum mehi joth dharee har bin avar n dhaekhahu koee |
O my eyes, the Lord has infused His Light into you; do not look upon any other than the Lord.

I am just going by the English translation jee, it seems to be quite accurate.

I don't think Guru Jee is referring to normal eyesight, as that would exempt blind people, and also because at the end of the pauree dib drist is mentioned.

Regarding jot, if we imagine all human beings to be candles, the ones in which the jot was activated/prakash (i.e. jot vigaasi) would be lit candles, and the rest of us would be unlit.

ਪੂਰਨ ਜੋਤ ਜਗੈ ਘਟ ਮੈ ਤਬ ਖਾਲਸ ਤਾਹਿ ਨਖਾਲਸ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
pooran jot jagai ghat mai, tab khalas taahi nakhalas jaanai

If there is anything out of Gurmat written above jee, I have no hesitation to take words back and beg for forgiveness.

Thank you Veer Ji for further clarification. Everything God gives or does is divine, in simple words. The light in our eyes is surely a divine gift. So we can safely call it divine light.
