Doctor ILAAJ during Guru Sahibs Time !!

I am curious to know how much were the SINGHS earlier using the Doctor ILAAZ for the health ? Are there any references during Guru Sahib's time or later times ?

Sri Guru Har Rae Sahib Jee used to personally prepare and dispense medicines for all they even established hospital for people and also animals to get treated at Sri Kiratpur Sahib.

The famous Saakhi of curing Dara Shikoh comes to mind.

From modern times we have Gurmukhs like Dr. Surinder Singh Jee and Dr. Tejinderpal Singh Jee Dulla who are famous for their medicines amongst the Singhs.

earlier people used desi ilaaj such as herbs, leaves,etc....because they weren't aware of tylenols or etc...
