Meeting with Jathedaar Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib

Finally, Jatha Singhs met with the Jathedar Sri Akal Takht today morning August 29th 2010. During the meeting It was made clear to the Jathedar that changing of Rehit Maryada by anyone is unacceptable and the guilty should be brought to book. The Jathedar categorically stated no decision would be taken without representation of all representatives of Panth. He also stated no single person has the authority to change the Rehit Maryada. However, earlier during his speech at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Glen Rock, NJ he had also mentioned from the stage that "All Guru naam leva sikhs who believe in Bani from Ek Onkar to athara Dus bees......." and Jathedar Sahib seems to be forcing his own will on everyone!!!

During the course of chasing the jathedaars since Friday to have meeting over the issue of raagmala this is brought to daas's attention that some one is making a propaganda against daas and Jatha Singhs on the internet so that our efforts to meet jathedaars go astray but with Guru Sahib's kirpa they did not succeed and it should be noted that Jatha Singhs were not part of the fight at Gurudwara Richmond Hill, NY and is not in alliance with any anti Akaal Takht group. This should also very clear from today's meeting with Jathedaar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib.

Thanks for the clarification Bhai Jasjit Singh jeeo. Jatha is a Panthik organization and can never side with anti-Panthik groups or excommunicated groups. Maharaj Kirpa Karan.

1. Its good to hear that Giani Gurbachan Singh has assurred that no change to Maryada would be done without consulting all Panthik organizations. Better statement would have been if he had said that there is no plan to bring any change in Maryada. This is not the right time to make any changes to Maryada. The status quo should be maintained to maintain unity in Panth.

2. This is the second time we have heard the Jathedar forcing his personal opinion on others. Why does he need to insist again and again that Baani is from Ik Oankaar to Athaara Das Bees? Siri Akal Takhat Jathedar should make more responsible statements than this.

3. It seems like there is a conspiracy to bring disunity in Panth by instigating the Raagmala issue. What's wrong with the Status quo? Why are they stirring new controversies?

We need to concentrate on more important issues e.g. Patitpuna in the youth and stop attacks on Siri Dasam Baani.

Again this is not arrogance on their part.. Looks like Badal has bought 99% of the so called panthic leaders and jathedars.. and now they wanna get united against the jatha...

You dont need to worry abt the Propagandas , The Nindaks have to do their Karams as well so keep focussed on the efforts you are making.
