Bhai Sahib I was thinking of starting this topic too. Sarbloh rehit naturally promotes discipline so its not very Khalsayee to cook food in larger quantities than needed. When Khalsa was nomadic Singhs only carried what was needed. Singhs only cooked what was needed and didn't worry about what the future. Honestly I dont know how healthy it might to keep food for days in Sarbloh.

from a purely scientific perspective, you should not keep anything acidic in sarbloh, so any food cooked with tomato is out (dals, etc). the acids in the tomatoes can cause the sarbloh to get pits and discolor, as well as leaching rust into the food very quickly.
even wet foods in general, you'll notice if they even sit in sarbloh for an hour or two will discolor the food and make stains on the vessel. sarbloh is a very reactive material and has to be cleaned and dried immediately after use.

there was a discussion on this board earlier that some sings store excess prepared foods in glass or clay containers.
