Vaaheguroo jee kaa khaalsaa, Vaaheguroo jee kee fateh!

Khalsaa jee,

A singh came upto daas about a household problem with his wife. When they got married they were both amritdhari gursikhs, everything was fine, but then hair started to come on his wife's face and she decided to cut them by going to a laser clinic, after that she no longer follows rehat strictly, does not wake up for amritvela ever, not sure if she does her nitnem everyday or not, this is bringing him down in his gursikhi jeevan, he feels that he will not be able to live a fulfilled gursikhi jeevan and that it will also take him away from gursikhi. My question to you is, in these circumstances, is it right for them to get a divorce in the hazooree of punj pyaare?

there's no such thing as divorce in sikhi. the only divorce for sikhs is the pain of separation from waheguru.

divorce is a civil government matter. i cannot imagine any gurmukhs would conduct at 'divorce ceremony", as there is no such thing.

however, i think going before panj piyaras is certainly the right idea, as they can give advice to keep the couple together and on the right path.

why is that the singh has considered for both of them to get pesh together to get a divorce?
but...
has not considered her getting pesh, to get back on track?

problems like these are very subjective, sangat at gurmatbibek cannot possibly give objective answers to solve the problem.

It is acceptable that the bibi was wrong to do what she did.
and to be fair to the bibi...
could she have done it, because the singh found her to be no more pleasing? Insecurity can cause paranoia and do weird things.
Bad sangat can also be another factor. The singh needs to sit down with a calm mind and reflect where they both went wrong.
To be honest, not much information is known both sides, so its very hard to help.

1 thing for sure is that, Naam is the most supreme rehit( obeying Sri GuruBani Ji) . When we start slacking in this rehit then all other dhills start creeping in.

Another thing,
"A family that Japs Naam together, stays together"
