What can be wrong in sleeping after doing your Amritvela? The Hukam of Guru Sahib is to be awake at Amritvela and there is no condition to not sleep after Amritvela. As the matter of fact, Gursikhs who go to work, should get a quick nap before going to work. It totally freshens you up.
I have heard that Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee used to tell his companions to get some rest after Amritvela and before going to work in the morning, so that Singhs could do full justice to their work. I believe this is mentioned in the book written by Bhai Jodh Singh jee.
