ਪਿਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਨੀ ਭੈਣੇ ਮੇਰੀਏ, ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲੂ ਹੈ।
ਦਿਲ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਤੋੜੇ ਨੀ ਉਹ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਮ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੂ ਹੈ।

ਤਕੜੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਨੀ ਰਹਿਤ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ,
ਸਬਰ ਕਰ ਉਹ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਨੀ, ਜੋ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਬੜਾ ਰੀਸਾਲੂ ਹੈ।

ਮਨੁ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਜੇ ਥੀਐ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਸੁ ਪਰਾਇਆ ॥

If the man becomes a stranger to Vahiguroo, then all the world becomes a stranger to him.

ਕਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਉ ਗੰਠੜੀ ਦੂਖੀ ਭਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥ ?

Unto whom should I tie up and give the bundle of my pains?

ਦੂਖੀ ਭਰਿ ਆਇਆ ਜਗਤੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ਕਉਣੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਬਿਧਿ ਮੇਰੀਆ ॥

The whole world is overflowing with pain and suffering; who can know the state of my inner self?

ਆਵਣੇ ਜਾਵਣੇ ਖਰੇ ਡਰਾਵਣੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਫੇਰੀਆ ॥

Comings and goings are terrible and dreadful; there is no end to the rounds of reincarnation.

ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਊਣੇ ਝੂਣੇ ਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ॥

Without the Naam, he is vacant and sad; he does not listen to the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਮਨੁ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਜੇ ਥੀਐ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਸੁ ਪਰਾਇਆ ॥੭॥
