gurfateh ji!

ive been reading asa di vaar for the past few days and noticed that in some gutkai and pdf versions differ slightly from each other.

in some gutkai and pdf's they have :

and in some they have:

im just wondering which is the correct one?

also when doing asa di vaar in kirtan do you include the rehaao
i.e.

thanks

The former Paath is done by most Gursikhs and the latter one is Sampradayak Paath. The meanings according to the first one is that one who is born and dies is purely Kacha. Kach means Kacha and Nikach means pure Kacha. This seems to be the correct Paath.

The problem with ਕਚੁਨਿ ਕਚੁ is that the word ਕਚੁਨਿ has an aunkad on ਚੁ which does not allow it to be joined with ਨਿ. What is the purpose of this Aunkad here? It isn't part of the spellings as is the case with Thakur. So, this Paath does not seem correct.

If you are doing Shabad-like Kirtan of this Shabad, then there is no need to utter Rahao but when doing Kirtan of it in Siri Asa kee Vaar and you are doing Kirtan without the use of Asthaaee (as is the case when doing Siri Asa kee Vaar Kirtan), then naturally "Rahao" is uttered.

The older sampardas such as the Damdami Taksal, teach the paat to be

while the more modern sikhs read it as

Vaheguroo Jee Kaa Khalsaa
Vaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh,

Sadhsangat Jee, 3 Questions:

1) If we say all headings (Asa M:4, Salok, Mahalla 1+2, Pauri) in Asa ki Vaar why not in all other Kirtan we do?

2) Is it right to say 'Satkartaar' before Saloks? Is this not changing Gurbani, even if it the subheading?

3) Bhai Kulbir Singh Jee, please put up Santhiya for this Bani soon!! (I know its not a question spinning smiley sticking its tongue out)
